Image 1 of 4. A storm rapidly pops up near Minatare in Western Nebraska. I love chases like this, when I take a gamble on a lower-risk chase area. A higher risk was up near Rapid City, South Dakota, where there was a heavy rainstorm. This was a late initiation, but it was isolated and very photogenic. Only a handful of chasers were on this storm, and I believe I was the only one on it from initial formation to end. 7:30PM.
